A tool manufacturing unit in the region wants any researchers to work on the problem of breaking the drill tool into the workpiece. Currently they are manufacturing the die tool for the synthesis of battery covers and for the cooling purpose they need to drill the holes of approximately 250mm. This results in the breaking of drilling tool into the hole and they are unable to extract the broken part from the hole. Research can be carried out on the product/process design to overcome the issue. [ISU]
