A PVC pipe manufacturing company observed that their pipe joint were failed in the hydraulic test. The test is conducted by the company and joints are subjected to a pressure of 4.2 times the design pressure. The test is conducted for 24 hours. The pipe fails in few hours when it is pressurized to 2.5 times of design pressure.
